The Uruguayan FA have claimed pictures showing bite marks on Georgio Chiellini’s shoulder were photoshopped.

Uruguay are through to the final 16 of the World Cup, but it has been completely overshadowed by the controversy surrounding their talisman Luis Suarez.

Uruguayan paper El Diario had the photoshop claims on their front page this morning. They show what they claim to be the original image alongside the doctored one.

The Uruguayan FA have been vociferous in defence of their player and are said to have repeated the claims of the newspaper.
