Gardaí launch diesel laundering investigation

Gardaí have launched an investigation after a lorry, believed to be carrying laundered diesel, was involved in a crash on the Louth/Armagh border.

Gardaí have launched an investigation after a lorry, believed to be carrying laundered diesel, was involved in a crash on the Louth/Armagh border.

It happened at Sky-hill, near Dundalk at around 10am this morning.

Gardaí were called to the scene where they found a cattle trailer and tractor unit had hit a hedge.

The alarm was raised after gardaí noticed fluid seeping from the trailer.

Customs officers and gardaí are at the scene.
