Berlusconi dislocates shoulder in fall

A Sardinian newspaper has reported that Silvio Berlusconi, the former Italian premier, has taken a tumble at his seaside estate on the island, dislocating a shoulder and injuring his wrist.

The La Nuova Sardegna reports online that the 75-year-old media mogul fell on a park around the villa on Sardinia’s Emerald Coast, where he has been on holiday.

Berlusconi aides could not immediately be reached for comment.

The report said a member of his Freedom People party, who happens to be a physical therapist for the AC Milan soccer team, was there and gave Berlusconi first aid. It was unclear when the fall occurred.

Mr Berlusconi quit as premier in November amid market pressures in Italy’s financial crisis, and says he is considering whether to run for premier next spring.
