A British-born couple have spent seven years living as native Americans.

John Jerzyszek and his wife Pauline - who were born in Coventry, England - go by the names of Running Bear and Small Warrior and wear colourful attire to match their adopted lifestyle, which began when they met a fellow believer in Morrisons supermarket.

Pauline, 58, - who, along with her husband, frequently help out people in need - explained to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "The journey began when we bumped into fellow believer Grizzly Walking Thunder. He introduced us to our spiritual advisor Adrian Two Crows and it has just grown from there.

“We’d never go back to our old life. It fills you up – you feel full, so you are able to give your time and efforts away. I’ve lost count of the amount of times we’ve taken drunk lads home or helped little old

ladies. We don’t go out looking for people to help but we must do it on a daily basis.”

They even taken wigwams on camping trips and have covered their Coventry home in animal skins and traditional carvings.
