Munster and Ireland hooker Jerry Flannery is a doubt for Saturday's crunch World Cup test with Australia at Eden Park.
Ireland team manager Paul McNaughton confirmed earlier today that Flannery had picked up a calf strain in training and was set to undergo a scan on the injury later today.
Flannery has been selected on the replacements bench for Saturday's game with a view to using the abrasive hooker as an impact sub in the second half of the contest.
Sean Cronin is on standby, should Flannery fail to pull through.
