Betfair extend Haydock deal

Betfair have agreed to extend their sponsorship of the Betfair Chase at Haydock Park for another three years.

The betting exchange will continue to guarantee a minimum prize money level of £200,000 (€236,000) from 2011 to 2013 for the three-mile Grade One, registered as the Lancashire Chase.

Dickon White, Haydock’s managing director, said: “This new deal with Betfair, who have sponsored the race since its inception in 2005, confirms the racecourse’s major support for jump racing.

“The Betfair Chase has been the highlight of our jump racing season since it began and it will continue to be the showpiece occasion with very valuable prize-money on offer to owners and trainers.”
