World Cup: Terrorist threat puts finals in doubt
FIFA has just four weeks to save next year's Korea-Japan World Cup after the French insurance giant Axa said it would not be able to cover the event because of increased security risks.
The company is demanding more money because of heightening tensions in the wake of the September 11 attacks on the United States.
FIFA President Sepp Blatter said the contract to cover the finals expires on November 11th, and unless a policy was negotiated by then, the tournament could be at risk.
Axa insists the $17m premium is not enought to cover the risks of cancellation, terrorist attacks and problems with money.
