The town of Nablus suffered most from the recent Israeli military invasion of the West Bank, according to a report by international aid donors.

Media attention focused on the Jenin refugee camp after Palestinians said hundreds of people were massacred there, but human rights groups have found no evidence of mass killings.

Palestinian and foreign human rights groups have put the Jenin death toll at between 52 and 54, including 22 civilians.

But in Nablus, 75 people, at least 50 of them civilians, were killed during attacks by Israeli helicopters, tanks and soldiers.

The Israeli army also did €123m worth of damage in Nablus, compared to €88m in Jenin and the adjacent refugee camp.
