He’s just sooo unstylish – camp Irish comic Graham Norton has been named the worst-dressed man in Britain.
The Channel 4 presenter, noted for his outlandish outfits, was branded a clothing catastrophe by GQ magazine.
He finished just ahead of British Prime Minister Tony Blair in the poll compiled from the views of 500 style experts, writers and celebrities.
Among those who chose Norton was Channel 4 News presenter Jon Snow, famed for his own colourful ties, who said: “It seems there’s nothing he would not wear.”
Norton – who fronts his own five times a week chat show V Graham Norton – has become renowned for a range of colourful handmade suits.
Last year he was fifth in GQ’s annual poll but his high profile has helped him collar the top spot.
Last year’s winner Jonathan Ross is down to number three.
Manchester United star David Beckham is again the most stylish star, a position he held last year.
The Manchester United midfielder – known for both his designer gear and street wear – was described by GQ editor Dylan Jones as “a genuine class warrior - only his battleground is Bond Street.”
Actor Jude Law retains his position at number two in the best dressed list.
Music legend David Bowie is once again branded an important style guru, moving up from last year’s 33 to this year’s third position.
Another highly ranked chart veteran is Bryan Ferry who failed to make the top 50 last year.
