Champion Flat jockey Jamie Spencer is on the look-out for a ride in the Weatherbys Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival.

Champion Flat jockey Jamie Spencer is on the look-out for a ride in the Weatherbys Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival.

Spencer, who won the race aboard the Edward O’Grady-trained Pizarro in 2002, has currently drawn a blank this time around.

His agent, Andrew Sheret, told the Racing Post: “He has his own contacts in Ireland and I’m sure something could materialise.

“But at the moment it’s a wait-and-see situation.”
