A dispute at Aer Lingus which seems set to lead to a one-day strike later this week worsened today as two more pilots were suspended.
Five pilots have now been suspended in a row about new working conditions which are part of a survival plan for the company, which is suffering massive financial losses.
The strike is planned for Thursday.
Aer Lingus has advised soccer fans due to fly to Japan for the opening stages of the World Cup to bring their plans forward.
The pilots have warned that the strike is likely to be extended if the working roster changes are imposed.
Aer Lingus has arranged to hire aircraft and crews to maintain some services between Dublin and London.
