A disappointed Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez admitted his team will have to win at least one of two tricky away matches at Deportivo or Monaco after a frustrating 0-0 draw to the Spaniards at Anfield.
Liverpool dominated from beginning to end but failed to take their chances and had to settle for a point which leaves them third in Pool A.
“We played very well. We had many opportunities, at the end we did not score but the team played very well,” Benitez told ITV2.
“If you play like today you cannot say nothing. All it needs is little more luck.
“It was important to win but we could not and we need to win away.”
