INTO calls on Govt to tackle lack of school places

The country's largest teachers' union is calling for urgent action to tackle the shortage of school places.

The country's largest teachers' union is calling for urgent action to tackle the shortage of school places.

The INTO has claimed that a number of schools cannot give confirmation of places to parents, as they are waiting for the Government to give the go-ahead on new accommodation.

President of the INTO Declan Kelleher said that the Department of Education must address the problem before the new term starts in September as it is not fair on parents.
