Man held after death of woman in Waterford
Gardaí in Waterford have arrested a man in his 30s following the death of a woman at a house in the city overnight.
The 30-year-old victim was found with serious head injuries at Richardson's Meadows in Kilcohan shortly after 2.30am.
She was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
The man arrested in connection with the death was detained at the scene, which has been preserved for technical examination.
The State Pathologist has also been notified.
