Maciej Zurawski joined up with the Celtic squad at Glasgow airport this morning for their trip to Ukraine for the Champions League clash with Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday.
The Poland international striker missed out through illness the 5-0 win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle which took Gordon Strachan’s side top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League for the first time this season.
Celtic, who reached the last 16 of the tournament last season before losing in extra-time to eventual winners AC Milan, are looking for their first away win in the tournament in a group that includes AC Milan and Benfica, a side they also faced in the group stages of last season’s competition.
Strachan substituted Scott Brown, Scott McDonald and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink during the romp against the Highlanders yesterday but all three are expected to return on Tuesday night.
