Seven people escaped injury when a petrol bomb was thrown into their home in the North today.
A man was arrested over the attack in south Belfast.
A device was hurled through a smashed downstairs window of the property in Tates Avenue shortly after midnight, setting bedroom furniture alight.
Firefighters were called and managed to extinguish the blaze.
Detectives appealed for any witnesses to contact them but police did not suggest the attack was sectarian.
