Bubbly TV presenter Denise Van Outen has admitted that her face has been left scarred by sunbeds.
The judge on BBC talent show 'I’d Do Anything' said she started using the tanning beds in her teenage years and became addicted, developing what is dubbed ’tanorexia’.
The 33-year-old says she now has scars on her face which she has to conceal with heavy make up.
She said: “I used a sunbed when I was 18 because I didn’t know the risks, but I’m paying for it now.
“It’s my big regret – I have pigmentation problems on my face.
“Girls are still using sunbeds, risking cancer for a tan.
“Tans fade and it’s not worth the risk. Now my tan’s from a bottle and safe.”
Van Outen, who rose to fame co-presenting 'The Big Breakfast' with Johnny Vaughan on Channel 4, made the confession in a column in Now magazine.
