A Cork teenager is being treated in hospital for suspected spinal injuries after she fell from the balcony of a nightclub during a night out.

A Cork teenager is being treated in hospital for suspected spinal injuries after she fell from the balcony of a nightclub during a night out.

The incident happened in the early hours of yesterday morning at a club in Kinsale.

The 18-year-old was taken by ambulance from Cork University Hospital in a four-hour journey to the Mater Spinal Injury Unit in Dublin following the accident.

Gardaí are investigating the cirumstances of the incident.
