Police in the UK have said that they are ready to arrest Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.

It is after he broke his bail conditions by seeking asylum inside the Ecuadorean embassy in London.

He went there last night to try to avoid extradition to Sweden over rape allegations.

Ecuador's Foreign Minister is considering his request.

Kristinn Hrafnsson is a spokesperson for Wikileaks:

"The real worry of course is that he has no assurance that he will not be extradited from Sweden to the United States where we know there is a grand jury working on finding angles on prosecuting Julian".
