Husband defends Chinese actress wife by telling reporters she looks ugly
A Chinese actress has had her face examined by doctors as part of a legal bid to prove her good looks are natural.
26-year-old Angelababy is suing a clinic for defamation after it alleged she had plastic surgery to make her appear more beautiful.
The actress, whose real name is Yeung Wing, underwent a number of examinations ordered by a judge included X-rays, scans and prodding.
And of course, Baby's husband rushed to his wife’s defence by telling reporters her looks couldn't be surgically enhanced because sometimes she looks quite ugly to him.
The two were married last Thursday in an extremely lavish celebrity wedding costing 200 million yuan (€27.7m).
In an 2014 interview her husband reportedly said: “"I'm not an idiot, I definitely can tell she hasn't had plastic surgery, sometimes she doesn't put on make up and she really looks like those ugly pictures of her."
Hospital chief Qi Zuoliang who examined the actress came to the conclusion that Angelababy’s looks were natural and there was no signs of incisions.
The actress rose to fame as an actress and model in Hong Kong but has been followed by rumours of plastic surgery for some time.
Angelababy has repeatedly said her looks are the result of her European heritage as her paternal grandfather is German.
