Gardaí in Dublin have begun an investigation into an attempted armed robbery in Finglas last night.

Gardaí in Dublin have begun an investigation into an attempted armed robbery in Finglas last night.

Three masked men attempted to ram through the door of a building adjoining a bookmakers with a stolen car and fired at least one shot in an effort to gain entry.

The car used in the incident was subsequently set on fire and found abandoned nearby.

Nobody was injured in the incident.
