The National Hunt meeting at Perth on Sunday has been abandoned due to a waterlogged track.
An 8am inspection was called due to persistent rain but clerk of the course Harriet Graham had an easy decision.
“I’m afraid we’ve had to abandon, we’re still waterlogged,” she said.
“It’s not drying today, it’s a misty, drizzly morning.
“We’ve got no chance. It’s very hard on the groundstaff as they’ve worked so hard but we’ve had to admit defeat.”
Meanwhile tomorrow's meeting at Tipperary is subject to a midday inspection today due to overnight rain, while this evening’s Flat card at Chepstow is subject to a further inspection at the same time.
Clerk of the course at Chepstow Keith Ottesen and his team looked at 8am but with no more rain forecast they are giving it every chance.
