All Ireland champions Kilkenny take a six-point lead to the dressing room at the interval of the Leinster Final at Croke Park.

Kilkenny 1-10, Wexford 0-07 (half-time)

All Ireland champions Kilkenny take a six-point lead to the dressing room at the interval of the Leinster Final at Croke Park.

Paul Codd opened the scoring for Wexford, but Kilkenny had soon hit back with a goal and a point.

Henry Shefflin took a shot on goal which was blocked by Wexford goalie Damian Fitzhenry.

Unfortunately he batted it straight into the path of DJ Carey who swung, connected with the ball and hit the back of the net.

Charlie Carter chipped in with four points from play in the first half.

Larry Murphy had to go off injured for Wexford just before the half-time whistle.
