A man weighing more than 20 stone is suing a fast food chain for not having seats big enough to fit him.

A man weighing more than 20 stone is suing a fast food chain for not having seats big enough to fit him.

Martin Kessman took action last week after lodging a complaint two years ago about the size of the booths in White Castle's Nanuet, New York, restaurant and the stock broker claims the company wrote back three "very condescending" letters.

He told the New York Post newspaper: "They're stationary booths. I'm not humongous, [but] I'm a big guy. I could not wedge myself in."

The organisation did offer him three free hamburger coupons, but Martin pointed out "the cheese was extra".

He claims to have no issues with any other fast food companies or airplanes.
