Parties meet to agree partnership draft
A final draft of a new social partnership deal is believed to be on the table this evening at talks involving all parties at Government buildings.
Business leaders expressed confidence that a deal can be agreed on.
The Chambers of Commerce say the issue of local authority funding remains a concern for them.
Farmers are renewing their call for the Taoiseach to intervene in the talks.
They say no progress has been made on the issue of farm incomes. On his way into the plenary session, Pat O'Rourke of the ICMSA said farmers would not sign up to a deal unless a better offer is made.
