The Government bid with the Scottish FA to bring the European soccer championship to Dublin in 2008 is firmly on track, according to the Minister for sport John O’Donoghue.
Yesterday ‘British Telecom Scotland’ confirmed it will sponsor the event if the joint Irish - Scottish bid is successful.
Minister O’Donoghue says officials from European soccer’s governing body, UEFA, will visit Ireland later in the year to examine facilities and plans.
