A "guard fish" is believed to have frightened off a would-be burglar who broke into a pub in the Czech Republic.

It is thought the attempted burglary was thwarted by a Sing 'n' Swing Fish hanging on the wall of the pub in Tabor.

The landlord found the door had been forced open when he heard the fish belting out Tina Turner's Proud Mary and went to investigate.

He believes the prowler set the fish off by walking across creaking floorboards towards the till.

"Some people have a guard dog, I have a fish," he said.
