Deauville’s new all-weather course, costing €3.37m, will be used for the first time on Sunday.
The fibresand track, which was opened last month, replaces the inner grass track at the Normandy seaside venue.
The circuit is ten and a half furlongs long and the track is 18 metres wide except the turns which are 15 metres.
Maximum fields are 16 and distances of the races will vary from six and a half furlongs to just over two miles.
“It’s just a little too soft at the moment but the local trainers are very satisfied with the outcome,” clerk of the course Yves Deshayes told the Racing Post.
“We will have six meetings in December with a further three fixtures in January which will complete the Flat calendar,” he added.
