The Church and State appear to be on a collision course over plans for assisted reproduction.

The Church and State appear to be on a collision course over plans for assisted reproduction.

A Commission set up by the Government has published four years of research on contentious issues and made 40 recommendations.

It has called for treatments for infertile couples and scientific research involving embryos to be regulated.

The report also says scientists should also be allowed to use embryos in research.
