Family concerned for Cheryl’s new man

Cheryl Cole's new boyfriend's family are worried she's going to hurt him.

Cheryl Cole's new boyfriend's family are worried she's going to hurt him.

The 'Call My Name' singer, who divorced cheating husband Ashley Cole in 2010, is romancing dancer Tre Holloway but his mother is concerned she could break his heart because she has been married before.

Shirley Holloway said "She might hurt him. She's been married before."

However, Shirley is confident if things do become serious between Cheryl and Tre, her son would never hurt her like Ashley did.

She said: "He wouldn't do that. That's not him. He has dated in the past in college and high school but it was nothing serious."

Shirley is also keen to meet Cheryl, 29, so she can see what she's like as she knows Tre is keen.

She added: "He never said she was his girlfriend. But he said, 'Oh, she likes me'. I got the feeling he was maybe quite into her. Of course I'm curious to meet her. If this is a serious relationship then I'm looking forward to meeting her because I trust Tre's judgment.

"If he likes her, then she must be a good person."

The new couple have enjoyed several romantic dates together but sources say it is still early days for the romance.
