Gardaí seize huge drugs haul

€3.3m worth of drugs has been seized in north Dublin.

€3.3m worth of drugs has been seized in north Dublin.

The haul was made in a joint operation with Customs officers and the Garda National Drugs Unit after a truck was stopped and searched in Santry.

Thirty kilos of cocaine, one kilo of heroine and 30,000 ecstasy tablets were discovered.

The 29-driver of the truck was arrested under section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act and is being held at Store St garda station.
