Mick Jagger to undergo heart surgery this week

Mick Jagger will reportedly undergo heart surgery following the announcement that the Rolling Stones' have cancelled the dates of their latest tour.

According to the Drudge Report, the frontman will have an operation to replace a heart valve in the next few days.

Earlier this week, the band was forced to postpone the US and Canada leg of the No Filter tour as doctors told Jagger that needs medical treatment and “cannot go on tour at this time”.

Doctors assured in a statement that the 75-year-old will make a complete recovery so he can get back on stage “as soon as possible”.

As of now, the postponed dates have not been rescheduled, but concert-goers are encouraged to hold onto their tickets as entry to the new dates.

"I really hate letting you down like this," tweeted Jagger in his own statement.

"I'm devastated for having to postpone the tour but I will be working very hard to be back on stage as soon as I can."
