Police in New Zealand have charged a man in connection with an incident in which four Irish tourists were robbed at gunpoint.

Police in New Zealand have charged a man in connection with an incident in which four Irish tourists were robbed at gunpoint.

The four brothers were held up in the early hours of Monday morning and forced to hand over the keys of their camper van.

The incident happened in Dargaville, near Auckland.

Their van was found several hours later and police say attempts had been made to set the vehicle on fire.

The New Zealand police say a man in his 30s has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
