Arsenal lead in Norway at half-time

Freddie Ljungberg’s early strike put Arsenal in charge of tonight’s Champions League encounter against Rosenborg in Norway.

The Swede swept the ball home from close range on six minutes after the home side failed to clear a corner to keep Arsene Wenger’s men on course for a 100% start to their Group E campaign.

Rosenborg, unbeaten here in this competition since September 2001, promised much going forward but were unable to break down a resolute Arsenal defence.
