A man in his 50s has been arrested after €300,000 worth of drugs were seized in Kilkenny.

A man in his 50s has been arrested after €300,000 worth of drugs were seized in Kilkenny.

Gardai from the Carlow/Kilkenny Divisional Drug Unit carried out a planned search of a house in the New Park area of Kilkenny yesterday evening.

Cannabis worth around €100,000 and cocaine with an estimated street value of €200,000 were recovered.

The man is being questioned at Kilkenny Garda station.
