A new European-wide campaign has been launched to raise the awareness of the dangers of breast cancer amongst members of the European Union.

The campaign is being headed by a group known as Europa Donna, or the European Cancer Association, and the group has released new cancer research ahead of a proposed meeting with the European Parliamentary Party.

According to the research a woman dies from breast cancer in Europe every six and a half minutes despite the fact that the disease can be treated effectively if diagnosed early.

The proposed meeting will take place next Tuesday.
