Baby girl for Sugababe

Sugababe Mutya Buena has given birth to a baby girl.

Sugababe Mutya Buena has given birth to a baby girl.

The baby was born this morning, weighing 5lbs 10oz.

Band mates Heidi Range and Keisha Buchanan announced the happy news at the Capital FM Awards in London today

The pair turned up clutching Winnie the Pooh balloons bearing the words: “It’s a girl!”

Heidi said: “Mutya gave birth to a baby girl this morning.

“She hasn’t named her yet. I’ve seen a picture of her and she’s just gorgeous.”

She added: “Mutya’s fine, she’s at home resting right now.”

It wasn’t all good news for the Sugababe though – they were beaten to the best UK group award by Keane and to the best pop act award by Girls Aloud.
