I'll kiss singing sensation Boyle, says Morgan

Piers Morgan offered to let never-been-kissed singing sensation Susan Boyle break her “kissing duck” with him.

Piers Morgan offered to let never-been-kissed singing sensation Susan Boyle break her “kissing duck” with him.

The 'Britain’s Got Talent' judge and former Daily Mirror editor said she made both the show’s judges and most of the audience look stupid by stunning them with her surprise performance last weekend.

“Now the whole world is sharing the joy of a woman who came and took the stage with that astonishing rendition of 'I Dreamed a Dream',” he said in a video called Piers Puckers Up on his website.

He described the 48-year-old Scot as the “biggest star in the world” but also wondered what her dream was after her “extraordinary explosion onto the world showbusiness scene”.

“And the answer, according to the Sunday newspapers, was me,” he said.

Referring to his rivalry with fellow judge Simon Cowell he went on: “Well, I’m a chivalrous kind of guy, and I read the interview, and it said that Susan had never been kissed – she’s 48 years old – and that I had become – and not Mr Cowell I noted – the object of her desires and that she would like nothing more than to break her kissing duck with me.”

Pointing to his lips, he said: “So I’ve decided to extend an invitation to Susan to take her out for a meal – a very romantic restaurant, I think, with some roses, some fine wine, some glamorous waiters, and to offer her the chance to break her kissing duck with these little things.

“So Susan, if you’re watching, I’m available.”
