Seb Sanders closed the gap on Jamie Spencer in the jockeys’ championship race to just three after following up a fine double at Lingfield with a win for his boss Mark Prescott at Wolverhampton.
Sanders’ haul at the Surrey venue included Listed-race glory for Jeremy Noseda on Loulwa in the European Breeders’ Fund River Eden Fillies’ Stakes.
he wasted no time in adding another as he booted home Capricorn Run for Alan McCabe in the next race, the Gemini Press Handicap.
The title-chasing jockeys both headed to Dunstall Park under the floodlights and it was Sanders who took the honours as he made all on Prescott’s Fandangerina in the Horizons Restaurant Maiden Fillies’ Stakes.
Sanders now stands on 178 winners with Spencer on the 181 mark.
