A United Nations survey has reportedly found that young Irish people are the fourth-biggest ecstasy and amphetamine users in the world.
Reports this morning said a survey by the UN Office on Drugs and Crime found that only Thailand, Australia and the Philippines had higher levels of ecstasy and amphetamine use than Ireland.
The survey reportedly found that the use of these drugs was five times higher in Ireland than in most other European countries.
Twenty-seven countries were surveyed as part of the research.
