The Government has announced details of a new project to help vulnerable children in three disadvantaged areas of Dublin.

The Government has announced details of a new project to help vulnerable children in three disadvantaged areas of Dublin.

The scheme is jointly funded by the Government and the Atlantic Philanthropies charity and will see €36m spent over the next three years on tackling child poverty in Tallaght, Darndale and Ballymun.

Junior Minister Brian Lenihan says he hopes it will help to break the cycle of poverty and disadvantage for young people living in these areas.
