Gardaí in Limerick have been granted additional time to question eight people about the murder of Lee Slattery last May.

Gardaí in Limerick have been granted additional time to question eight people about the murder of Lee Slattery last May.

Five men and three women were arrested on Tuesday morning by gardaí investigating the killing of the 24-year-old, whose body was discovered in a shallow grave on the outskirts of the city.

Six of the eight can now be questioned until Saturday.

The remaining two must be released or charged by tomorrow afternoon.
