Stubbs Art has been supplemented for the Boylesports Irish 2000 Guineas at the Curragh on Saturday as he bids to reverse Newmarket Classic form with Henrythenavigator and New Approach.
The David Elsworth-trained colt belied his odds of 100-1 when third, some four lengths behind the two Irish raiders earlier this month.
All three are among 13 horses in the mile showpiece at the confirmation stage.
Henrythenavigator got the verdict by a nose to ruin New Approach’s unbeaten record at Newmarket and he is one of five possibles from the Aidan O’Brien stable.
The other Ballydoyle entries are Jupiter Pluvius, Minneapolis, One Great Cat and Windsor Palace.
New Approach’s trainer Jim Bolger also has Luminaire while the Irish party is completed by Dermot Weld’s Famous Name and the David Wachman-trained duo of Great War Eagle and Nownownow.
Godolphin’s Ibn Khaldun, who was only 10th in the English 2000, Guineas and Brendan Duke’s Sammy The Snake complete the list.
