Molloy admits illegal dumping problem
Junior Environment Minister Bobby Molloy admits there is a substantial amount of illegal dumping carried out throughout the country.
Hospital waste was recently found illegally disposed of in Co Wicklow and central Dublin.
In the Dail, the PD minister said that in Wicklow alone there are 200 such dumps.
However, he says it’s up to the local authorities and not the Government to pursue and penalise those using the illegal sites.
