Preliminary dates for next year's International Rules ties Down Under have been announced with the prospect of a Rugby World Cup partnership on line.

The Aussies are keen to cash in on their hosting of the World Cup by playing the Rules tests on October 24 and 31, with Ireland and Australia meeting in rugby on November 1.

Perth is set to host the first test while Melbourne looks set to host the second at the Cricket Grounds.
