Cullen launches €5.4bn water and sewage scheme

The Government is to pump €5.4bn into a new water and sewage infrastructure programme.

The Government is to pump €5.4bn into a new water and sewage infrastructure programme.

The money will fund the development of 730 water and sewage schemes across the 26 counties, between now and the end of 2005.

Minister for the Environment Martin Cullen announced details of the programme today.

He did so by saying that a number of towns nationwide will benefit greatly from this new water and sewerage investment programme.
