Gas storage facility to be built under Antrim lough

A £400m (€495m) natural gas storage site is to be built deep beneath a lough in Co Antrim.

A £400m (€495m) natural gas storage site is to be built deep beneath a lough in Co Antrim.

The energy bank at Larne Lough, north-east of Belfast, will hold 60 days supply.

It is hoped it will help guard against steep price rises caused by international market volatility.
