Union representatives are due to meet Bus Eireann management in Galway today to discuss a row over the company's use of outside contractors.
Drivers represented by SIPTU and the National Bus and Railworkers Union are angry that they company has hired a private firm to alleviate overcrowding on a school bus route.
The two unions say the company has been forced into the move because the Government won't provide funding for enough buses to meet local needs.
The drivers engaged in an unofficial stoppage yesterday morning to highlight their concerns.
