Huntingdon have called a 7.30am inspection ahead of tomorrow’s meeting due to the threat of frost.

Temperatures at the Cambridgeshire track are forecast to fall as low as minus four, forcing clerk of the course Fiona Needham to check on conditions.

“We had a minus four last night and while the weather forecasts seem to vary, if we get the same thing tonight prospects are looking bleak,” she said.

“There is cloud cover about and Leicester aren’t a million miles away from us and they are raceable.

“If we were lucky like that we would be OK but a repeat of last night and it would not be looking great.

“Daytime temperatures are only forecast to be about four and we certainly need things to go our way.”
