The Taoiseach officially opened the M1 Northern motorway at Dublin airport this afternoon.
The new road is 16.3km and cost €230m to construct.
It runs from Dublin airport to Balbriggan and links up to the bypass at Drogheda, Dunleer and Dundalk.
The construction was a total investment of €700m.
Seamus Brennan announced today that the tendering process is underway for the Dundalk bypass, Asbourne bypass and Ennis bypass in Co Clare.
